Parental guidance

Parental guidance is part of child care and is especially important at young ages. The training will focus on the functioning of the parents in relation to the needs that will arise in the child.

In some cases, it is recommended to focus on parental training without treating the child, since the parental figures are the most significant for him. Specific guidance is suitable for example when it comes to counseling around a crisis - such as how to prepare the children for divorce, the discovery of an illness or allergy, as preparation before various transitions, or guidance on how to succeed in developmental tasks such as weaning, independent sleeping, etc.

In cases where it is recommended to work on setting effective boundaries, the training will incorporate elements of parenting therapy.
