About me
Hello, my name is Moran Green-Cohen, and I am a licensed educational psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and parent therapy. I am married and a mother to two sons and a daughter.
I hold a master’s degree in Educational and Clinical Child Psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. My research focused on intrinsic motivation in learning. My master’s thesis explored the internal motivations behind high school students' academic track selection and its correlation with academic success and mental health. My doctoral research examined how teachers can foster students' autonomous motivation by supporting their psychological needs for competence, autonomy, and belonging.
I am also qualified to train and supervise young psychologists in their internship process. In 2024, my registration as an educational psychologist was completed in Cyprus’ psychologist registry.
I worked in the Educational Psychology Service of the Yavne Municipality in Israel for 15 years. In both public and private practice, I have provided individual and group therapy, conducted cognitive and emotional evaluations, and administered psychoeducational assessments. I also led workshops and provided consultation to school and kindergarten staff. Additionally, I served as a national project coordinator in Israel’s Psychological Counseling Service (Shefi).
Today, I support children, adolescents, and parents through my clinic in Cyprus and also provide online therapy sessions.
